Hope is the Light
Under the Door

In an impoverished rural town in Haiti, St. Gabriel’s School is more than a building. It is the heart of the community and a beacon of hope for its students. After being impacted by minor earthquakes and settling, engineers discovered major structural flaws in the walls and determined the building was unsafe for students, staff, and visitors. Rather than ending our mission in Haiti, we hope to replace the present two-story school building with two single-story, steel-framed classroom buildings. This campaign will also help us fund a much-needed new sanitation station (latrine and shower). By supporting our efforts, you’re not just helping us reconstruct walls; you’re restoring the promise of a better future for every student who walks through the school’s doors. There is a Haitian proverb, “A bird builds its nest one twig at a time.” Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us ensure that the children of Fontaine will continue to learn, grow and become the future leaders Haiti so desperately needs.

Help Those In Need
Friends of Fontaine is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting community-based development through a secondary school in Fontaine, Haiti.

Today that school has become St. Gabriel's School in Fontaine. St. Gabriel's continues to be a strong resource in the community and through it, we are building and creating change through education and outreach.

Since our founding in 2011, other parishes, colleges, and organizations have joined our Friends of Fontaine family and continue support for our mission.
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have,
for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
